NEW - Virtual Online Karate ClassesWhether you're stuck at home, have a busy schedule, or don't live close by to one of our locations - no matter what the reason - Schweitzer's Martial Arts has got you covered! We now offer group classes, as well as private and semi-private lessons, virtually! Virtual karate classes are a great way to learn and stay active while in the comfort and safety of your own home. Karate is one sport that can be done anywhere, without the use of special equipment. As long as you have some space, e.g. living room, rec. room, or backyard, you can do karate! WE OFFER Virtual Little Tigers Classes (ages 4 to 6 years) A fun program for young martial artists; focusing on basics and self-defense. Here they learn how to follow instructions and work together. They will also develop focus and learn self control. Virtual Little Tigers classes are 20-30 minutes long (depending on class size). Cost: One night a week program - $125/10 week session (taxes extra). Please Note: Family deals are available. Virtual Novice/Intermediate/Advanced Classes (ages 6-1/2 years to adult) Students will learn self-defense, learn self-control, develop their focus, and develop their confidence. Many of our classes are set up so parents can attend with their children. Our Virtual Novice, Intermediate and Advanced classes are 30-40 minutes long (depending on class size). Cost: One night a week program - $125/10 week session (taxes extra). Please Note: Family deals are available. Virtual Private and Semi-private Lessons Get one on one instruction and a more focused lesson. Virtual Private and Semi-private lessons share the same lessons and values of a group class, but are more focussed on the individual. These lessons are ideal for families, students with learning disabilities or social anxiety, or students who just want to get more out of their learning experience. Private/semi-private lessons are a half hour long. Private Lessons Cost: $250/10 week session (taxes extra). Family Semi-private Lessons Cost: 2 students $350/10 week session (taxes extra). 3 students $400/10 week session (taxes extra). Non-family Semi-private Lessons Cost: $150 each/10 week session (taxes extra). PLEASE NOTE: Virtual class times are generally shorter than "in person classes" to prevent student burn out. Group classes in person allow for more group drills and games, giving the students some downtime (e.g. waiting for their turn to present their kata, or their turn in a game), where as virtual classes have no downtime.

Students who disregard the rules make it hard for others to learn and can pose a safety risk. Therefore, our rules are strictly enforced. We discipline unruly students by talking to them, giving out push-ups and time-outs. There is the odd instance where we have to expel a student who is a potential danger to others. Most people have no problem with rules. If you or your child does have a problem with safety rules, Karate camp may not be for you. If you're not sure, please speak to the instructor before enrolling in camp. No refunds on camps. If you would like more information on our Summer Karate Day Camps, please contact us.
